Whilst I have always been curious about fetish, and always had tastes that ran more that way, I have really met some cool kinksters through my modeling work.
Kinky people and artists seem to go hand in hand, or, flogger-in-hand, may be more aptly put. I have always enjoyed role play, escaping from myself, and adore dressing up. I grew up a bit of a square peg, in a small town, not really seeing anywhere I was a good fit, however upon discovering more and more about the fetish community, I have found a whole raft of like-minded people who like things nearly as strange as I do.
Do you enjoy fetishism/BDSM play in your personal life, and if so what are you into?
To an extent. I am a bit of a glamour when it comes to kinky props, and I like them to be pretty as well as functional, which I know is not overly the point, but I can't help it, I'm a model, I like pretty things (giggles). I own a beautiful purple flogger that is my most prized possession. I have a penchant for pain in many forms, receiving more so, but not at all hesitant to inflict it. I love spanking/ flogging, it puts me into a great headspace, and all the worries of the world seem to disappear. I have recently been to some fetish events, and have enjoyed watching some play, and a few exciting live performances. It is a great honor to be permitted to attend and observe.
Are there any fetishes that you don't find appealing?
Many. I think fetish is pretty personal and pretty specific. I'm not into judging people for what they do or don't like, that's mainstream society's job. For me, anything that belongs in the toilet, should stay in the toilet, and I am not a fan of cruelty (where unwelcome) or anything illegal for a good reason.
What excites you about fetish modeling?
So many answers. I love the props, the clothes (when, on occasion, I wear any) the super-hot alt girls I meet and doing things that make people go "oh no she didn't!"
What are your favorite types of outfits to model in?
I love collars, schoolgirl skirts (I have a huge collection, maybe I have a fetish for them, I guess so) anything buckled, black and silver, or with bucket loads of attitude. I collect corsets, patent shoes, anything with spikes, and I wear high heels most days. For the pics for this interview we got hold of some great rubber gear, so we had some fun with some props and some sexy, shiny black. I have always, since my earliest teenage years, worn pvc, but for me, I am most comfortable in my skin, stripped of everything but a collar or some restraints, allowing me to move freely and roll around contorting myself as I please.
What are your least favorites?
Boring bikini, or anything too... standard.
I model for a beautiful label called Dusk Moth Designs, (www.duskmoth.com.au) which does great Victorian style pieces and bondage pants, so I am never far from my ideal wardrobe (when not naked of course!) I hate seeing shoots where the model is feigning being terribly distressed (oh no, bad man, please don't hurt me!) in 2m of slack rope she could easily slip out of. That's a pet hate.
Do you think pinup and fetish are becoming part of the mainstream culture?
I think the music industry has a lot to do with bringing Fetish inspired themes into the mainstream. You just have to look at film clips like "Not Myself" (Christina Aguilera) or artists like Lady Gaga to realize how much fetish and pinup styling has appeared in the mainstream. I think there is still a clear line between fetish as a lifestyle and fetish as a fad though, and I think society is still pretty closed minded about fetish as an actual lifestyle or preference. But it's OK, if it were mainstream, where would the added appeal be?
What kind of music do you like?
None of the above-mentioned artists! Haha. I have a fairly eclectic style, alternative, industrial, psytrance, rap, rock, acoustic. I like a lot of styles. I am not keen on pop and I cannot tolerate country music in any form.
My most recent discovery is including Combichrist, and a cool DJ who goes by the name of Square Tune Magician and does some cool nerdy mixes with old school gaming soundtracks, among other things.
What do you like to do for fun?
I am a bit of a gear head, I have a lightly modified skyline, so I like going for drives. I'm not into sports, but I pole dance for fitness and flexibility, and I like being creative, so I will always have an artistic project of some sort on the go (or several). I'm a makeup artist as well, so that is a cool outlet, and I love learning about special effects. Horror movies are right up my alley, the gory-er the better. I'm also looking forward to seeing Fast & Furious 5. Fast cars are sexy.
