You're someone who could obviously model in a number of other mediums, have you ever?
I have, actually! I have been the subject for a couple of paintings, which was very flattering! I really enjoy art in all its forms, so I hope to get the opportunity again soon.
And what keeps you coming back to pinup modeling?
It is a very fulfilling part of my life, really. Not that I live a mundane existence, but modeling is exciting!! The outcome and the reception by my peers are the biggest draw. I love to feel passionate about a new project and throw my everything into it. Pinup is fun, quirky, and a broad enough category that the possibilities are endless.
What advice would you give to someone who is new to the scene?
Hmm, probably to be both diligent and sincere in your quest for photographers. The only way to get better is to work with people better than you, or people who are as inspired as you are! Also, Roy Varga has a really comprehensive list of do's and don'ts for pinup that I advise anyone curious to check out. It really helps guide you in to what makes or breaks a picture.
Read any good books lately?
YES!! I absolutely love to read!! Right now, I am finishing up a book called the Beothuk Saga, about the natives of Newfoundland, and it is riveting. I'm not all that serious all the time though, I just finished the latest Janet Evanovich book on the plane back from Vegas!
What's your favorite movie?
Of all time? Clockwork Orange, hands down. I even did a shoot with Kevin Hubbard dedicated to it! I'll definitely have to put up one of those shots!
